What Bowflex Xtreme® 2 SE Home Gym owners are saying...
From January to May I went from 210 lbs to 180 lbs. I had a Bullworker & Nordic Flex Gold to start helping change my flab to muscle. They were not working so in May I purchased a Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE. In just 4 weeks I cannot believe the difference in my strength & shape that I am in now in only 4 weeks as compared to several months with the others. What a great product. Thank you Bowflex.

Easy to use, the Bowflex has enabled me to expand my workouts to enhance my gains as a pro rock climber. I love the fluid motion of the weights, and how the design doesn't allow the use of momentum. Each muscle group gets targeted and worked exactly how I want it to. I'm impressed.

This machine took us a couple of hours to set up. It would have been nice if the they packaged the parts you needed for each section of the setup in the same box, instead of searching through 5 boxes to find the part you need. PROS: 1)This Bowflex is very sturdy, 2) easy and quick to go from one exercise to the next. CONS: 1) can't get the range of motion I want (cable seems a smidge too long in my opinion), 2)took FOUR weeks to get the thing shipped to me 3) No bench--bench would have been nice for various exercises 4) It was a hassle to put together

Comments about Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym:
I had and used the original Bowflex for years. Had to give it up when my daughter and granddaughter moved in for two years and I took an assignment in Washington DC for five years. I am back home now and the daughter and granddaughter have moved into their own place. The new SE 2 is a real kick-Butt machine. The new Power Rods do not seem to be made of the original Bowflex Power Rods materials, but I will give them a chance (besides they have a life-time replacement policy) Otherwise, the machine STILL delivers like the original with a lot of new, impressive, features.
There are a lot more parts but putting it together was easy,..if you take your time and follow the directions. It took me a good two hours to put the thing together
Anyone looking for a SERIOUS home gym should REALLY consider the Bowflex SE 2, you will NOT be sorry.
Oh, as I indicated above, the ONLY down side and the only reason I did not give five stars, is that the Bowflex is no longer made in the good old USA. I was REALLY bummed-out about that.

Comments about Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym:
The Xtreme 2SE offers a variety of exercises which can be switched from with ease. The workouts offer a plan to achieve your workout goals, whatever they are. Currently, I am utilizing the circuit training which is slimming and tightening my body rather quickly.
If you are looking to create six pack abs you will need to add additional workouts which aren't included. While the machine offers ab workouts, they tend to work out your back more than your abs.
Overall a very good piece of equipment. Easy to use, and helps you get results.

Comments about Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym:
I bought this product at the local [@] after having a Bowflex Power Pro for several years I thought should have been better. Sold my power pro to purchase this and was very disappointed from the beginning. So much that I sold it to a business partner who sold it to another person. Not very affective difficult between exercises. The Power Pro was simple was more effective.

Q:
It says you need 8 feet x 6.5 feet? Is that 8 feet high by 6.5 feet wideAsked on 2/11/2012 by Moose from Saskatchewan2 answers
A:
This is the footprint on the floor: a rectangle. The machine doesn't take up all that space, rather, to use every exercise comfortably you should have an area this size.Answered on 4/6/2012 by teaddub from Vancouver, WACUSTOMER CARE
A:
The Xtreme 2 SE requires a workout area that is 8 feet long by 6.5 feet wide.Answered on 2/23/2012 by AH from Vancouver, WA

Q:
Does this bowflex model fold up to keep out of view when company arrives?Asked on 1/15/2012 by none from Derry, PA2 answers
A:
It doesn't need to fold up for two reasons. 1: It already takes less space than most of the folding machines even after they are folded, and
2: It is a good looking piece of equipment and shouldn't be hidden from guests. After all, they may need some exercise too! Also, keeping it in plain sight is a great way to avoid the excuse "I forgot to workout today."Answered on 4/6/2012 by teaddub from Vancouver WACUSTOMER CARE
A:
The Xtreme 2 SE does not fold up, because it is an upright Home Gym. If you are interested in a Home Gym that will fold up, we recommend choosing a Home Gym that uses a bench.Answered on 1/20/2012 by AH from Vancouver, WA
Q:
I hear from some people that if you have long arms, you won't be able to get full extension with this machine. That the rods bend to the floor. I am 6'3" with 6'6" arm span. Is this a problem for anyone?Asked on 12/30/2011 by Ry from Geismar, La1 answer
A:
It's definitely true when trying to do standing exercises which utilize the bottom floor level pulley's. However modifying the exercise into a sitting position usually works.
I've found that even with my height of 6'3", adjusting the seat height and/or the pulley positions I'm able to do just fine in performing any movement.Answered on 2/21/2012 by Gil from Monterey Bay, CA
Q:
Will I be able to work inner thigh muscles with the Bowflex Xtreme 2 SE Home Gym?Asked on 5/5/2011 by Anonymous from Smyrna GA1 answer

Can you go from doing a bench press directly to lat pull downs w/o reconstructing the cables?Asked on 3/20/2011 by Frank from Lake Elsinore ca1 answer
